I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. After graduating high school, I attended the University of Texas at Austin where I got a degree in Biology and a certificate in Business Foundations. Due to personal circumstances that I experienced throughout my life, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in medicine with an emphasis on serving marginalized communities. Having the ability to attend Long School of Medicine, I not only get to realize these dreams but have also discovered some wonderful opportunities along the way. One in particular is the San Antonio People Project, a platform that allows me to engage with my community and specifically highlight those voices. Outside of school, I love to cook (signature dish: Bánh xèo, a savory Vietnamese crepe!), run, and play tennis. I am so excited to be part of the San Antonio People Project and can’t wait to share the unique stories of those from our very own community.
