Moses Flores: Biking and Community
Cycling will change your life for the better. I wake up with more energy, and I love being able to just get out there and focus on the road. You can have a million things on your mind, but when you’re cruising on your bike, that’s all that is on your mind.

“…if I was crazy enough to run around in the woods for 24 continuous hours, I would fit in well with the ‘hard work and long hours’ surgery mindset.”
Will Young: Telos
“The ancient Greek philosophers described a concept of telos, which refers to the inherent purpose of something. For instance, the telos of a mask is to cover your mouth and nose to prevent the spread of a dangerous pathogen. You can use a mask for other things if you like, such as adorning your neck, but that is not fulfilling its telos. With my education in the medical sciences and the patterns of reasoning I had been developing throughout my education, I felt that my telos had to be medicine.
Samantha Yee
“A promotional video during one of the intermissions popped up on the jumbotron that asked “Do you want to be a Dallas Stars Ice Girl?” My boss pushed me to give it a go and I decided to give it a shot.”
