"We’re looking forward to presenting the Thrivewell Cancer Foundation with an annual donation from Long’s chapter of AMWA.”

“We currently serve as the Co-Philanthropy Chairs for Long’s chapter of the American Medical Women’s Association. We are running a powderpuff football game named Thrivewell Throwdown, our 20-year tradition that pits first-years against second-years and raises money for the Thrivewell Cancer Foundation. We are hosting a silent auction and selling $1 raffle tickets for prizes.⠀

The silent auction and raffle will be live at the game on November 12th at 12pm at our campus’s Gold’s Gym field.

Companies have generously donated raffle/auction items, and some of our faculty has even been amazing enough to donate dinners at their homes and create or purchase prizes. It is this sort of generosity and community that we feel makes Long a unique medical school. The student support has been great, too! We’re looking forward to presenting the Thrivewell Cancer Foundation with an annual donation from Long’s chapter of AMWA.”
